While running some errands at lunch time I decided to detour via the Thames, in the vain hope of additions to my patchlist. No such thing was to be found, and, in fact, there wasn't much to be seen, but I had 3 colour-ringed Canada geese. I do occasionally see some there, but never 3 at the same time, out of a total of 4, and never a pair of them. Looking at older photos, I had seen one of them in almost the same spot on 6 August 2006). I reported them immediately I was home, but I do not hold my breath as to whether I will hear back. Especially since I never heard back about some others I have reported in the past. Still, we never know. I still haven't heard back from the ringers about the house sparrows I reported a while back, though, there at least, I got some information back from the coordinator.
